LAREDO. A group from a Jewish synagogue in Austin, Texas recently traveled to the border town of Laredo to bear witness, to see and talk to those impacted by the new administration's crackdown on people coming into this country. They stopped at detention centers, met with local leaders and activists, and visited the colonias where a group of students were working to repair houses. They were bearing witness in an effort to learn about what was happening at the border so they could share with their communities back home.
